Gas station bathrooms are notorious for being horrendous, and for good reason: If you’ve ever had the misfortune of having to use one, you know that they tend to be about as sanitary as a sewer.
Honestly, for the most part, you’d probably be better off just peeing in your pants. I wish I were joking.
But for every rule, there is an exception, and in this case, the exception is major.
Thank TV personality Jason Godfrey for this discovery.
While he was traveling in the Philippines, Godfrey pulled over to use a Shell gas station’s bathroom, and he discovered what may be the most surprisingly beautiful bathroom
For one, it’s furnished. Glowing lamps hang from the ceiling for, you know, that much-needed mood lighting, and framed artwork adorns the walls.
There are even magazines and books to satisfy your relaxation needs. And it’s in a gas station!
I’m not exaggerating when I say this bathroom is more luxurious than most apartments I’ve seen here in New York, not to mention nearly as big as many of them.
If I found this bathroom on the road, I wouldn’t leave it. I’d eat lunch in there. And maybe take a nap.
Alas, unless you live in Southeast Asia, you’re unlikely to have the pleasure of dropping a deuce in this bad boy, so you’ll have to experience it via video, from the (dis)comfort of your desk chair.
