A California woman had to be rescued by firefighters after getting stuck in her ex-boyfriend’s chimney with no clothes on.
The unnamed 35-year-old on Saturday morning went to the Riverside home of Tony Hernandez, according to Daily Mail
, who lives with the three children they have together.
She first tried to wake Hernandez by knocking on the front door and ringing the doorbell.
Their children were not home at the time.
The woman then climbed the roof and took off her clothes apparently to ease the downward journey through the 1-foot-by-1-foot chimney.
Hernandez heard her shouting for help at around 4:30 am when he woke up for work.
I’m trapped in the chimney.
The woman is not permitted to see the kids, Hernandez added, and he did not want her in his home.
He originally sent an extension cord through the chimney to pull her out but it was to no avail.
Approximately two dozen firefighters arrived soon after.
They broke opened Hernandez’s fireplace and smashed a hole in one of his walls, freeing the woman two hours later.
Fire officials posted a tweet showing her bare legs, covered in soot, on Saturday afternoon:
“I don’t like the way she’s acting or what she’s doing. That’s not good for my kids,” Hernandez told CBS Los Angeles of his ex-girlfriend’s actions.
The woman was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
