Beyoncé just released a powerful short film on YouTube called “Yours And Mine.”
The film is beautifully shot in black and white and features voice-over narration from Bey.
The short film is meant to commemorate the one-year anniversary of her visual album, simply called Beyoncé.
In the film, Queen B touches on all kinds of subjects from music to motherhood to feminism.
One of the more insightful parts is when Beyoncé addresses fame. She says,
I sometimes wish I could be anonymous walking down the street like everyone else… Now that I’m famous it’s really, really difficult to do very simple things… When you’re famous, no one looks at you as a human being any more. You become property of the public. There’s nothing real about it.
Check out the whole short film above. You’re in for a treat.
