A 23-year-old Bryan College student
, Gustavo Angel Tamayo, says he’s never played basketball before. I don’t believe him.
During a school function, he was selected for a chance to win $10,000 in tuition money. He just had to hit four shots in 30 seconds: one layup, a free throw, a 3-pointer and of course, the half-court buzzer-beater.
For a guy who had never picked a basketball up in his life, Gustavo did a pretty decent job.
Not only that, but according to Gustavo, he did it all with a broken finger he got while playing soccer. He spoke to NBC News
and expressed his deep gratitude. He said,
"My mom started crying, Dad was overwhelmed. Right now it’s a great blessing."
