22 year-old Kahler Nygard was stopped by TSA AFTER completing his flight from Minneapolis to Denver for further screening after agents failed to fully screen him prior to boarding the flight.
Nygard had been put on a watch-list as a low level security risk known as Quad S. 4 bold Ss on a boarding pass indicate that the person is required to go through rigorous screening. However, despite having the designation, Nygard passed through security as normal and boarded the flight. According to Spirit Airlines, an employee noticed the designation and called the TSA. However, by the time agents arrived the flight had taken off.
Nygard was stopped for more screening after he landed, at which point renders the screening ineffective. In the video above, TSA officers could not force Nygard to remain in the airport or submit to the screening but did threaten to call the Denver PD.
According to Nygard, he left the airport without incident.
