USC cornerback Josh Shaw leaped from a second story balcony to save his nephew from drowning.
Shaw was at a family event when he spotted his 7 year old nephew, who did not know how to swim, in distress in a nearby pool. With no one reportedly nearby, Shaw jumped from the second-floor to get to the pool to save his nephew from drowning.
The jump could have been career-ending, Shaw ended up suffering severe high ankle sprains as a result. When asked if he would jump again, knowing the risk of injury, Shaw said he would do it again.
The player is out indefinitely, but we wish him a speedy recovery and to keep being the BAMF that he is.
Josh Shaw's story that he injured himself saving his cousin is currently under investigation. The coach stressed that they believe Shaw, but calls have come in with contradictory accounts of the story. As a formality, the story is being investigated.
